Google introduces SSL technology to make the search secure

Have you ever desired to secure your Google search from encryption? Now you can really do it because the internet giant has introduced SSL technology. This system is names as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and it prevents unauthorized parties to sniff data traveling between the user and the server.
Online privacy and security is what everybody is looking for these days and Google has taken a step forward towards it to fulfill this requirement of the online users. The SSL technology secures the packet sniffing of search queries entered by the users and the results being provided by the Google server. Google’s Software Engineer Evan Roseman talking about the SSL technology said that when anyone will search on Google through the SSL technology an encrypted connection will be created between the browser and Google which will protect the search results and search pages from being intercepted by a third party on the network.
The Secure Socket Layer version of Google is now available for the browsers and they can simply use it by using https:// instead of http://. Evan Roseman said that “we think users will appreciate this new option for searching” he further said that “it is an helpful addition to the user’s online privacy and security, and we will continue to add encryption support for more search offerings”.
There are some limitations to SSL. The first one is that the search results presented by Google SSL Beta will be a bit slower than the regular search engine of Google as it has to create an encryption connection whereas the second limitation to it is that it will only be available for the web search and will not cover Google image search and map search.
What do you think about the new SSL search technology of Google? Just try it now and see if it is of any benefit to you or not.
